- Marine magnetism, deeptow and submersible magnetics, magnetization of oceanic crust, fine-scale magnetic signals, rock magnetism and geomagnetism. Physical properties of oceanic crust. Mid-ocean ridge processes including the formation and evolution of ocean crust and hydrothermal systems. Image processing, geophysical forward and inverse modelling techniques.
Getting ready for a dive in the French submersible NAUTILE on the Kane Fracture Zone on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
